The Global G8 Roast Slicer makes a great carving knife, as it has a long and narrow blade. This carving knife makes excellent work of joints with no bones in. It will allow you to cut thin even slices of meat, so works best with hams, joints of beef, salmon and any de-boned lamb. 

The blade is constructed of a single piece of steel, with a unique convex edge for unsurpassed performance. The blade is made of the finest stainless steel called CROMOVA 18 (Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium), designed exclusively for GLOBAL that is ice tempered and hardened to hold the razor-sharp edge of the blade longer than any other steel. The ergonomic, stainless steel handles are hollow and filled with sand to achieve perfectly balanced knives and optimal control. The signature dimpled pattern offers a comfortable, slip-resistant grip and the unique shape is perfect for using a pinch grip, it also creates a seamless transition from blade to handle making it very easy to just hand wash and dry, without worrying about stuck food particles.
